Using offline waivers in the Otter Sign app is a great feature when you're in an area without internet access. Follow the steps below to ensure a smooth experience with offline waivers.
Step 1: Connect to the Internet
Before you can use offline waivers, you must first connect your device to Wi-Fi or the internet.
Step 2: Enable Beta Mode
- Open the Otter Sign app on your device.
- Tap the Settings button located in the top right corner of the app.
- In the Settings menu, find the option labeled Try Beta.
- Toggle the Beta Mode switch to "On." This enables offline waivers.
Note: You can only enable this feature while connected to Wi-Fi or the internet. Make sure you complete this step before going offline.
Step 3: Sync Before Going Offline
Before heading to a location without internet:
- Ensure the app is turned on.
- Log in to your Otter Waiver account.
- Allow the app to sync all necessary data.
Step 4: Using Offline Mode
Once you've completed the steps above, you can take the app offline. While offline, you can:
- Continue signing waivers as usual.
- The app will store these waivers locally.
Step 5: Sync When Back Online
When you're back in a location with internet access, the app will automatically sync any signed waivers to your Otter Waiver account.
Limitations of Offline Mode
Please note the following limitations when using offline mode:
- PDF Uploads: Any PDFs uploaded to the system will not be available for signing offline.
- USCCA Plugin: The USCCA plugin requires an internet connection and will not function in offline mode.
In offline mode, you can only use the app for signing regular documents created inside Otter Waiver.
